Kya's Baptism June 6, 2015

Kya looked so beautiful for her baptism.  She was all smiles, Racheal Hansen helped us get her dress ordered and Aunt Sydney made her baptism announcement. 

I am so proud of her decision to be baptized.  There was a lot of family there.  It was a hard day for me when she was baptized since it had only been a couple of weeks since my dad had passed away.  I remember wanting him there and missing him as a witness and being in the circle as Kya was given the holy ghost.  It was a moment that I felt things should have stopped because he wasn't there.  But things went forward, despite the aching absence.  I am grateful that Kya showed me the courage to keep going.
